Scariest Enemy

by louisa-outram @ 24/04/07 - 21:46:20

In a poll, on the BBC website, Daleks have come out as the scariest enemy in Dr Who:P

1. The Daleks
2. The Empty Child Zombies
3. The Beast
4. The Cybermen
5. The Clockwork Droids

I guess I can understand that but I think the Cybermen are worthy of a place higher than number 4! I think its the thought of having all my skin etc cut off, all the screaming you hear when it happens!!

Do you think this list is about right??

God, the Cybermen scared me just as much as the Daleks!

LOL I just think that with a Dalek your dead but with a cyberman you're trapped and have yo go through all that pain first:-/

:P See I told you I'd go overboard:))

What I think is also freaky is they're human shaped.

I remember reading a psychiatric thing that said aliens that show a semblance of human shape, like the ones in Alien being biped etc, are more scary to us than things that are obviously a different species.

LOL they're not just human shaped they're part human:P

Hmmm thats interesting. But thinking about it, we accept animals as a society, but someone who is born slightly different is feared/hated etc!!

Oooh getting serious:P:))

Ooh yeah I agree!! I must admit I had to go and look them up though:))

I do get the impression that the BBC asks a select few when they do these polls though:yes:

Personally, I found the Beast the most terrifying! :-/

I think the Krynoids (Green seaweed type things i seem to recall) were scarey, back in the Tom Baker days.

lol yeah! They didn't include any of the old enemies in the poll at all. I think they shoudl have included everything!! But I also think the BBC has a selective few that they ask!
