Scary Creature Feature for Doctor Who

by cj592 @ 31/05/06 - 16:10:55

After the, in my opinion, slightly disappointing Idiots Lantern episode from last week Rossell T Davies has said that the next episode is set to be the scariest yet.
Coming up is a two-parter, The Impossible Planet and Satan's Pit and features the mysterious Ood.

DOCTOR Who executive producer RUSSELL T DAVIES has labelled the show's latest monster the scariest. He thinks audiences will be shaken with fear by the Ood - a tentacled alien with evil red eyes and a "translation ball" attached to its chest. The creature will appear for the first time in Saturday's episode.

It's one I'm looking forward to... again.

So I'm not the only one who thought last week's was a bit flat?!

Anyway, that monster sounds brilliant, I'm looking forward to it.

There were a few things about it that didnt work for me.
1) The Wire. If it was an alien I would have expected a more alien name. The Wire sounds a bit un-alieny
2) If the thing ate electric impulses from the brain, why did the faces disappear. and
3) when they killed The Wire why did the faces just reappear. When you kill a lion, Zebra's dont just reappear
4) I didnt fell the guy was intimidating enough, and he wouldnt have just left like that.

Still
The nextlot should be good

And it was bloody Maureen Lipman from the BT adverts - not even vaguely scary.
